Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during business hours for printing, shipping, mailboxes and most other services. For notary service, call ahead to confirm the notary is in. For a gallery or business account, call and we'll set it up around you.

Which carriers do you ship with?
UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL, domestic and international. We compare speed and price across all four and recommend the best fit for your package, instead of limiting you to one carrier.
Can I drop off a prepaid package in Bath, Maine?

What time is the last pickup for each carrier?
Monday to Friday: UPS Air and Ground 4:30 PM, FedEx Express and Ground 4:30 PM, DHL 1:00 PM, USPS 4:00 PM. Saturday: FedEx Express and Ground 11:00 AM and USPS 12:00 PM. There are no Sunday pickups. Times can change, so call 207-443-1457 to confirm.
Can you ship internationally?

Yes. Our certified packing specialists pack fragile, valuable, large and awkward items, and anything we pack is guaranteed for insurability under our Packed to Perfection guarantee.

Can you ship furniture, antiques, electronics or a bicycle?
Yes. We pack antiques, electronics, furniture and bicycles using specialty boxes and custom-built boxes where needed, so they arrive in the same condition they left.
Can you ship oversized or heavy items?
Yes. Oversize and heavy shipments can be quoted and arranged as freight when they don't fit standard carrier shipping.
Do you sell packing and moving supplies?
Yes. We stock boxes in 50+ sizes, specialty boxes, bubble wrap, heavy-duty tape, mailing tubes, padded envelopes and CD and DVD mailers, with bundle pricing for movers and large orders.
How do I track a package?

Returns
Amazon, Happy Returns and FedEx return drop-off.
Do you accept Amazon returns?
Yes, with a printed label. We can't accept Amazon returns that are QR-code based, so choose the print-label option when you start your return. If you don't have a printer, we can print the label for you.
How do Happy Returns work at Mail It 4U?
Bring a Happy Returns barcode from a participating retailer and drop off your return. No box, no label and no printer needed.
Can you take a FedEx return?
Yes. Bring your pre-labeled FedEx return package and we'll send it out with the next FedEx pickup.
What if I don't have a printer for my return label?
We can print it for you at the counter. Bring the confirmation or email with your return label.

How do I ship a painting or framed artwork from Maine?

Do you build wood crates for artwork?
No, we don't offer custom crating. We stock specialty artwork boxes and can build a custom box for almost anything. If your piece needs a crate, call us and we'll tell you whether we're the right fit.
Can you pack framed artwork with glass?
Yes. Framed and glass-faced work is packed with the glass and frame corners in mind, so it travels flat and protected.
Can you pick up artwork from my studio or gallery?
Yes. Pickup is available instead of requiring a drop-off, scheduled around your timeline. Call to check pickup for your location.

What file types can I send?
PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, JPG, BMP, PNG, AI, PSD, TIFF, INDD, PPT, PPTX, CDR, EPS, XLS, XLSX, CSV and ZIP. PDF is best for print-ready artwork. Not sure? Send it and we'll check it.

Can I print photos from my phone?

Are my uploaded photos private?

What's the difference between a mailbox rental and a P.O. Box?
A P.O. Box only accepts mail from the U.S. Postal Service, and boxes sit inside the post office. A mailbox rental at Mail It 4U gives you a real street address at 10 State Rd, so it accepts packages from UPS, FedEx and DHL too, and you can use it anywhere a street address is required. What's the difference between a mailbox rental and a virtual mailbox?
A mailbox rental gives you a key so you can check your box in person whenever you like. A virtual mailbox skips the key: we receive everything for you and follow your instructions to hold, forward or open it, so you never have to visit.
Do I need ID to rent a mailbox?
Yes. Federal regulations require every private mailbox customer to complete USPS Form 1583, which we notarize for you at the counter. Bring two forms of ID, and at least one needs a photo.
Can I use a virtual mailbox as my business address?
Yes. A virtual mailbox gives your LLC, online store or home-based business a real Maine street address to list on invoices, banking forms and directories. It isn't a registered agent service, so ask us if you also need one.
Will I be notified when mail or a package arrives?
